If you're looking for more personalized service than you can get in a typical yoga class, a private session may be right for you. People who seek me out for private sessions often want to learn to adapt their practice using the principles of anatomy. Some have discomfort in certain poses and want to learn how to modify those poses. Others have experienced an injury or other change in the body, and want to create a practice that will work with their body.
My goal is always to empower you with the knowledge you need to ensure that your yoga practice is right for your body. I aim to teach my private students how to modify poses so that they can start attending regular yoga classes if they'd like to do so. I also help people to create a home practice that improves strength, flexibility, and balance, while taking into account the specific needs and challenges of your body. Rather than being dependent on continued private sessions for your practice, you'll learn what you need to know to attend classes and/or practice on your own. (Although I'm happy to provide as many private sessions as you'd like!)
If you'd like some personalized help and deeper knowledge about yoga and your body, contact me to set up an initial private session. The price is $85 for one hour; this can then be applied to a package of sessions if you decide to purchase one. I teach privates at any of the studios where I teach classes (Sattva Yoga in Redmond, Discover Yoga in Redmond, Bala Yoga in Kirkland, and Root 2 Rise Yoga in Woodinville), or at another location mutually agreed upon.
